Drawing at the British Museum

The British Museum is one of my favourite places to visit — like the V&A, even without paying for the special exhibitions, there’s always something new to be discovered that you hadn’t come across before (plus what would be better than to admire the Great Court designed by Foster + Partners?) , so I spent a a few hours observing and had a drawing session there the other day.

I spent on average 15 minutes on each of these studies (with much of the time observing the lighting and tone of each element) – it had been awhile since I had picked up the pencil in public so it was a great release, albeit interesting to see so many curious onlookers on every occasion.

Do people still draw like this these days?
